  27. Backlight Plus requires Newton OS 2.x and 7K of storage space.

  30. Installing Backlight Plus
  31. =========================================================================
  32. Backlight Plus is installed like any Newton package, using the Newton
  33. Backup Utility (NBU), the Newton Connection Utilities (NCU), or
  34. any third-party package downloading utility.

  37. Using Backlight Plus
  38. =========================================================================
  39. When installed, Backlight Plus will initially create a small button in the
  40. upper left hand corner of your Newton screen. Tap on it to turn on or off
  41. the backlight.

  43. You can adjust Backlight Plus' preferences from Prefs->Backlight Plus in
  44. the Extras Drawer. Here, you can assign a different corner for the backlight
  45. button. You can adjust the size of the button from 3 to 10 pixels. In
  46. addition, you can also tell the Newton to turn on the backlight on every
  47. power up.

  49. You can have Backlight Plus turn on the backlight between a specified
  50. set of times. For instance, suppose you want the backlight to turn on
  51. at 8:00 PM and turn off at 2:00 AM. It's easy with Backlight Plus!
